Join us-Disability, Inclusion, and Community Life: A Conversation in San Jose
In 1999, the Supreme Court held in Olmstead that the segregation of people with disabilities is discrimination, and that people with disabilities have the right to live, work, and thrive in the community. 20 years later, we can point to progress and success—but there is still work to be done and conversations to be had.
Come join The Kelsey, The Silicon Valley Independent Living Center, and disability rights leaders to learn what's working, what's needed, and how you can promote inclusion where you live, work, and play. There will be light bites and time to network with activists and community leaders!
Where: San Jose City Hall (200 E Santa Clara St), Room 119
When: Thursday, June 27th from 5-6:30pm, happy hour afterwards at Flames Eatery& Bar (88 S 4th St).
Who: All are welcome but space is limited so please RSVP for your spot here
If you are unable to make this panel, please join us for a panel the night before, Wednesday, June 26th in San Francisco.
